1NTERRUPT Cyber Security Event at Mass Academy in Worcester

On Saturday March 30th, a group of FHS students participated in the 6th annual 1NTERRUPT cyber security event at Mass Academy in Worcester. This event, organized and run by professionals in the IT and cyber security industry, has students attending workshops in the morning on networking, web security, ethics, and hardware, and then in the afternoon working together to apply these principles in a simulated "treasure hunt" -- hunting down malicious hackers who have taken down key infrastructure around the world. It was a challenging day, and everyone (including FHS' new Technology Integration Specialist, Ms. Ciccone!) walked away knowing a little bit more about what it takes to enter the cyber security field.
