The Yearbook Club carries on the tradition of recording and publishing a chronicle of the school year by producing Foxborough High School's annual yearbook. Yearbook activities begin in the spring of junior and sophomore year with the election/ appointment for the Executive Board Office: Editor-in-Chief, Copy Editor, Design Editor, Photography Editor, Senior Video Editor and Junior Editor. Elected officers may choose to sign up for a full year Independent Yearbook Study course with the advisor if their schedule permits. Students in grades 9-12 who are interested in journalism, photography and/ or graphic design are encouraged to join as members of the staff. e Yearbook Staff and Executive Board are responsible for developing a yearbook theme, layout of the yearbook, photo content and composition, copy writing, setting up page design with the publishers online program, meeting strict deadlines, ad sales and marketing and distribution of the book. Yearbook meeting are held on a weekly basis. Involvement in the Yearbook Club offers students the opportunity to gain life skills, assume the responsibilities of working with clients and deadlines and have fun working as a team at the same time.
In 2009, due to popular request, the Yearbook Club expanded to include the annual production of a senior video. The position of Senior Video Editor is held by a senior who is familiar with using the digital video camera as well as film editing programs such as IMovie and Final Cut Pro. It is the responsibility of the Senior Video Editor and his or her staff to gather footage and audio, create a storyboard, edit footage, market the video, design packaging for the video and burn the video to dvd for distribution.
